RECRUITMENT, DEV'LIN, AND YOU =D
Yeah, I went there! I gave Sam a Horrible Paint-job! ;D
Anyways.
I wanted to make a topic to encourage people to go out there and recruit! Why? Because recruiting benefits the House and you to a magnificient degree. Our latest recruitment surge, spear-headed by Tristan, has already begun to do great things for us like
Bring more life into Dev'Lin
Make us a more recognized force in Szith
Allow us to begin a bold and ambitious power plan
Increase Dev'Lin's influence on the Academies
Make any Dev'Lin more excited to be a Dev'Lin
But what's in it for you..? Well, more people in Dev means:
More intriguing House RP and RP in general for you
More opportunities for you; being in a bigger and bolder house
More chance of you being part of something extremely huge in the history of Szith
More people who will happily help you out whenever you need it, as they're Housemates =D

So How Do You Recruit...?
There are three things you should look for in any Shebali before recruiting them. These are thier experience with RP, thier experience with NWN2 (Being completley new and having no experience is absolutely fine, but more experience with things like crafting, ect. is always a pro =D), and how exactly they RP...We don't want to be inviting anyone who continually insults the Drow society and looks to be on the fast track of becoming a heretic, for example. So that's:
1.) RP Skills (They must now how to RP or -at least- be eager learners)
2.) NWN2 Experience (Not required what-so-ever, but a pro)
3.) And third...let's call it heretical tendencies. (We don't want to enroll someone who we can see being a heretic real shortly..RPly, it doesn't even make sense for a House to enroll someone who denounces Lolth, her policies, ect.)
Do not be afraid that you don't have the authority to recruit!!
You yourselves have been recruited because you have shown all the qualities Dev'Lin needed. You have absolute power to look over someone and gauge them, and even tell them you'll try to land them a spot in the House. You merely need to talk to Tristan or someone who can relay your request over to Tristan after you have evaulated them. He'll probably gibe 'em a quick look-over before insignia-ing them. (Correct me if I'm wrong, Tristan)
Key Strategies to Recruiting:
1.) Go and talk!
If you see a lonely newbie running about go over and talk to them. Introduce yourself. Become known to them. In the professional world they call this 'Screwing Someone' because now they're screwed into knowing you and being invovled with you to some degree.
2.) Be Helpful!
Offer your help and services, this gets them to like you =) Maybe state it is the way of our House to help other Drow. (In reality we are really trying to get them to become part of us so we ourselves are better, so this isn't something an Evil Drow wouldn't do ;D)
3.) Suggest/Hint the Dev'Lin path!
Once you know them for a while, hint at how the House could help continue thier develope as a class and as a citizen of Szith. You should know thier interests and needs to some degree by then, so try to say houw the House could meet those interests. DO NOT, HOWEVER, GLOAT! And DO NOT RUN ON ABOUT THE HOUSE. Gloating makes us look bad, and continually arguing why the House can help him or her makes us look desperate. Both will quickly repel most people.
And DO NOT LIE about what we can/can't do. We really shouldn't need to in the first place, since our capabilities are vast and we can accomdate for enarly any character. =P
