One of Dev'Lin's many faerns walks about the house looking greatly burdened. He paces back and forth in the lab as he always used to almost a year prior. It had been a long time since he had been gone and many things had changed during his absence. Notably the house's demeanor towards it's dalninuk.
He looks towards the books on the selves, some of them the faern's first memories were of Kalazar reading them to him during the beginning of his training as a faern. As far back as he could remember his mentor of the weave had guided him and been one of the few Nithilak had never contimplated assassinating... save of course when the young faern felt apt enough to take over Kalazar's job. Jahn also had left, the one who had settled many of the disputes between him and other house members. That was to say nothing for their figure head ilharess, the one that their very existance as a house relied on back then. Sol was no where to be seen either and Sorn had already reliquished his insignia.
He glances throwwing various books and magical powders upon the floor from his desk in frustraition. Quellar Dev'Lin was no longer his home. It was not the house it once used to be. In it's current state he could not even try to bring it back on track. Not by himself.. not as a Dev'Lin. No, the things he would have to do would call certian doom upon the place that was the Faern's home for as far back as he could remember. He stares at the large book for a few moments then to the book case and nods. He had to leave. He walks to the door of the lab and opens it stepping out into the main room.
The Faern reaches to his neck and snaps the chain of his insignia with a forceful tug. Nithilak steps up to the altar and with a heavy sigh sets the insignia down upon the altar, his hand remaining upon it for a moment as he reflects on his life within the house for a moment.
Finally, pressing his lips together tightly he pushes the insignia away into the center of the altar and walks to his room. He quickly grabs one of his bags and begins stuffing in the necessities only.
After that he makes haste for the kitchen, obtaining enough rations to atleast get him to Q'os. Finally he walks back to the lab, grabbing one of the mushrooms on his way out and stuffing it in the bag also.
Nithilak steps into the lab, ignoring the looks of the gaurds and slams the door behind him. He walks to the bookshelf and reaches up, grabbing for the book Kalazar had shown him to pull on should the house ever become overran. The book case slides away revealing the secret passage.
He steps down the hall and opens the door leading to the tunnels near Q'os and disappears into the darkness before the door shuts......
