Female Etiquette
-Your mindset is that you are superior to males
-Males are tools, pets, and property
-You cannot damage another female's property unless above her in rank or with permission, though you can request another female's male be punished (if a male belongs to a house, the female punishing him without permission must outrank the matron of that house)
-Males are expendable; females are not
-Males should always bow and greet you with either the name of your rank or "mistress." They should then offer their services and wait to be dismissed before leaving.
-If a male fails to show proper etiquette, it is grounds for punishment
-If your male fails to show proper etiquette, it reflects poorly on you
Males should fear females
-Males are lowly and should know it
-If you die in battle, it is the fault of any males with you who could not keep you alive

Male Etiquette
-When you see a female, you should always bow, greet her by using her title or the name "mistress," offer your services, and wait to be dismissed before leaving.
-Never run by a female without bowing! If you can see her, then she can see you and expects you to bow and greet her. If she's busy, she'll ignore you.
-If you fail to show proper etiquette, prepare for a beating
-If you fail to address a female by her proper title, prepare for a beating (ask in a tell if you're not sure)
-Unless a female of a higher rank's orders conflict with those of a lower rank, you must follow the lower ranked female's orders (even if you're a great warrior and she has ordered you to get her some wine)
-You are lower than all females in the hirearchy, no matter what your rank
-You should apologize for everything bad that happens to a female while you are there, even if it is her fault
-It is your duty to protect all females

Hmmm gotta pipe in my 2 cents here lol

Now as a long time D&D player, having played drow since before I ever knew who Drizzt was. I see some problems with the above.

First the bowing. You should take in account that this should be done if you come somewhat close to a noble female or pass near a very high ranked female noble such as an Ilharess or the Ulathtallar. This should not be done every time you see a female just because they can see you. We would then all spend our time bowing and none of us would get anything done. I have never seen anywhere in source material or even in books with drow characters where this is done. I mean if this is how it is supposed to be imagine a busy street in Ched Nesad or Menzo. You would be stopping every 5 secs to bow. That brings me to the next part.

This borders really close on a slave mentality towards males and some things are grossly wrong. I will only comment on two parts (1 from each) as I could go on for hours lol.
First

Everyone except yourself is expendable. It doesn't matter if your male or female. Drow care about themselves and the more power/rank they can gain. It doesn't matter who is in their way, be it brother or sister, Mother or Father.

Second

This again is not very true. To prove my point I would like to see the Yath-abban who thinks she can order the Head Master of Sorceiri or Melee around. Other than that again I have never seen any source or book where High ranking males are ordered about by lower ranked females (take into account that Yathrin are one of the higher ranks you can hold in drow lolth society) Now if were talking about the lowest ranked female ordering about their house weapon master I can see that. But I am pretty sure no one can point to source/book where the lower ranked female of a noble house orders around a HeadMaster or a higher ranked noble male of another house.

*shrugs*

I have to agree with Alzar here, being that I too have been playing D&D from before Drizzt existed (the male drow ranger or the fiend Folio demon lord he is named after).

Their are many interpetations of drow culture and how it should be executed. The list at the top is a good guide... but it is not a bible. Drow culture is one with a single minded goal, attain as much power as possible... in any way possible. All females are considered to be "better" than males. However, any female better take into consideration who the male is, what title he holds and who his matron is before she decides to start kicking him around. You may find yourself on the receiving end of a whipping yourself from his matron.

Some Drow websites

http://drowcampaign.roleplaynexus.com/

http://grey-company.org/Maerdyn/rp/

http://www.angelfire.com/wizard/demonwebpit/Roleplaying.html

http://www.geocities.com/venoriksilinrul/

If you want all the DND books free in PDF (some good drow ones plot and poison,FR underdark,Drow of the underdark, sheoloth,)
Download bittorent..just google it its free
go here or a similar torrent search engine
http://torrentscan.com/
Then search for dnd books on there and download.
As for viruses just make sure you have norton or something and you should be fine, also read the posts of the download and make sure plenty of people downloaded it and gave it a good rating.
Note-illegal but I did it and no one tried to sue me.
SO you've been warned.
As for morality they don't even print 3.5 anymore WOTC should have there older books for download for free or maybe 1$.
